Chibi Valiant and Tammy

This is my second chibi drawing and features the characters of Valiant and Tammy, from the book Valiant part of the New Species series by Laurann Dohner. Tammy is human, but Valiant is a New Species mix of human with big cat/mostly lion DNA. As you can guess he is extremely protective of his mate to the point of being overbearing at times. Tammy is no wall flower, however, and stands up to him beautifully. They are one of my favorite romance novel couples.

The New Species series by Laurann Dohner features genetically altered humans trying to find their place in the world as they fight against prejudiced humans and the evil pharmaceudical company that created and enslaved them. They struggle as they learn to love for the first time. Very similar to the Breeds by Lora Leigh in premise, but the execution is much different. Relationships are based on mutual attraction and affection, not forced by a biological mating heat as in the breeds. The explicit scenes are always based on romance and emotion.
